Not the cursing thing, it is just your use of Jesus..... some employers would get turned off to that, especially if you had a "potential" employer who happens to be a Christian.

BTW, I, for one am glad you probably won't be seeking employment here. TA-TA and have a great life.

That's like any other word to me, it's no different than a "goddamnit". But let anyone try, that's what lawsuits are for.

Really a great speech by Obama right now, he just announced that the congresswoman has opened her eyes for the first time, really special moment pointing out those heroes of that day - the intern, the lady who grabbed his ammunition, the guys who tackled him etc.

He was nihilistic, that's not atheism, of course that has to be a component of nihilism. Don't pull a beck though and name off all of that stuff, then throw atheist in there and say it's all things that a crazy person would believe.

Some of us consider the use of words such as God %*%*(^ and distatesful use of jesus name the same as saying the N word to a black person.

Well you can consider it, but it doesn't make it true. A racial slur against a group of people isn't even close to being the same.

    Re: Tragedy in Arizona

A slur against a group of people, how would that be any different?

    Re: Tragedy in Arizona

To religious people that is a demeaning comment. Just like the N word to a black person and queer to homosexual, they all are words meant to hurt or instill hostility.

    Re: Tragedy in Arizona

It's not a slur against any group of people, it's a curse word, it's never been used against them in anyway and there's no sin against it - unless the "take the lords name in vain", which would be just saying god period and that's used constantly.

    Re: Tragedy in Arizona

Saying the lords name in vain is in how you use it.

Would you like it if someone cursed your mother, called her every bad word they could think off? I doubt it without you getting a little mad.

Point is it causes anger, hate, or hurt feelings. So why would you do it?
